God’s judgment on Tyre -
This theme continues on from Ezekiel 26 - 27. The emphasis is on His
judgment on the king - “the ruler of Tyre” (Ezekiel 28:1). Here, we look
beyond “the ruler of Tyre.” We may look on from him to Satan. Like the
king of Tyre, Satan will also “come to a terrible end” (Ezekiel 28:19).
In Ezekiel 28:20-24, we have a prophecy of judgment on Sidon. In Ezekiel
28:25-26, we have a message of hope for God’s people, Israel - “they
will know that I am the Lord their God” (Ezekiel 28:26).
